Allied Legal Presents… Genevieve Graham

Even throughout the difficulties and uncertainties of the COVID-19 pandemic, Allied Legal is still looking to grow so that we are better positioned to contribute to Australia’s startup scene. We are excited to announce the latest addition to our team, innovation and startup enthusiast Gen Graham!

Gen’s Background

When asked by others what Gen’s dad did for work, her response was always ‘he works on the phone? I think?’. It wasn’t until after her father’s passing, in her late teens, that Gen understood exactly what her dad was doing for all those years. He was a serial entrepreneur “before it was cool”. 

After some time had passed, Gen moved from sunny Perth to Melbourne to pursue higher education in her dad’s hometown. Gen’s background lies in a Bachelor of Business at Monash, majoring in marketing. Her studies have been peppered by various startup endeavours, and Gen has been well entrenched in the startup community for years. She is captivated by the potential of startup’s to disrupt markets, and people’s way of life, in seemingly short periods of time. Gen believes innovation is the answer to many of the world’s problems, and love’s being involved in such an innovative industry. Having had some attempts at entrepreneurship herself, as well as watching much of her extended family’s ventures over the years, Gen has a deep compassion for founders and understands “what it really takes”.

Gen is currently an ambassador for the centre of entrepreneurship at Monash (called ‘The Generator’) and is a business mentor to first-year students. Gen decided to specialise and major in marketing during the pandemic, to up-skill her strategic marketing and data analysis competencies and bring those skills to the startup scene.

Gen is extremely excited to be given the opportunity to continue her love of everything “start-up world” and apply her academic training. She looks forward to being a part of Allied Legal’s journey as a leading provider of legal insight and business growth advisory to innovators and start-ups everywhere!
